Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Pirate Wars account, and everything stored with it, at any time — from inside the app, or by asking us. You don't need an account on this website, and there is nothing to sign in to here.
Delete it yourself, from inside the app
This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.
- Open Pirate Wars and go to the start screen (the port). If you're at sea, dock first.
- Tap the Settings icon — the gear, at the top of the screen.
- Choose "Delete Account."
- Confirm. The action can be cancelled up to this point; after you confirm it cannot be undone.
The steps are the same on Android and on iOS.
Or ask us to delete it
If you can't reach the in-app option — you've uninstalled the game, lost the device, or the app won't start — email hello@lok.tech, tell us the captain name you play under, and ask us to delete your account.
We'll reply and ask you a few questions to confirm the account is really yours, and we delete it once we're satisfied that it is.
Why we check. Deleting an account is permanent and can't be undone, so we confirm ownership before acting on an emailed request. If we can't confirm it, we'll tell you rather than delete anything.
We aim to reply within a few days, and to complete confirmed requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently erases it from our servers, including:
- Your progress — gold, level and experience, skill points, ship upgrade levels, kills, deaths, and last login time.
- Your customizations — your captain name and your sail, hull, and flag colors.
- Your identifiers — the hashed device token, the per-device identifier, and your Google account identifier or Game Center player ID if you used one.
The stored device token on your device is cleared as part of the same action — including the copy Android keeps in Google Block Store — so it can't be replayed to reach the deleted account. On Android the app then shows an "Account deleted" screen with a Create New Account option; that state survives a relaunch and clears when you create a new account or reinstall the game.
What we keep, and why
We keep an anonymized, non-identifying record of aggregate gameplay statistics. It carries no Google account identifier, Game Center ID, device token, device identifier, or captain name, and cannot be linked back to you or to your deleted account. We retain it to understand game balance and to prevent abuse.
Standard server logs, if retained for security and reliability, are kept only as long as needed for those purposes and then discarded.
Deleting the app is not the same thing
Uninstalling Pirate Wars removes it from your device but does not delete your account from our servers — that's what lets your progress come back if you reinstall. Use one of the two routes above if you want the account itself gone.
